WHITE PLAINS- The jury deliberating in the manslaughter trial of a security guard who stabbed a man to death during a fight in Yonkers last year returns to continue deliberations today, after being sent home for the weekend whey they told the judge they were at "an insurmountable impasse" in reaching a verdict.
Lloyd Henry, 48, is charged with first-degree manslaughter for killing 22-year-old William Coleman, who attacked Henry twice inside the Cromwell Towers apartments at 77 Locust Hill Ave. after a night of drinking in April.
Westchester County Judge Robert DiBella asked the jury members to return today and continue deliberating in the hope of avoiding a mistrial. The jury has been deliberating the case since Tuesday.

NEW ORLEANS — A security guard at a FEMA trailer park was shot to death Monday in the latest violence to wrack the city still struggling to recover from Hurricane Katrina, police said.
The shooting, around 5:15 a.m., was at a trailer park in Gentilly, a section of the city that flooded during Katrina. A few hours earlier, another man was shot and killed near the Guste public housing complex.

BALTIMORE - An alleged bank robber was stopped after an off-duty police officer working as a security guard shot him in northeast Baltimore on Tuesday, authorities said. Police said the man was trying to rob the Wachovia bank in the 1700 block of E. Northern Parkway around 11 a.m. when the security guard opened fire on him.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Detectives released surveillance pictures of three men wanted in connection with the shooting of a hospital security guard on Tuesday.
The shooting happened near Truman Medical Center after three men were kicked out of the hospital.
